Barbie is teaming up with Star Wars for the first time to create dolls inspired by the galaxy far, far away.

Mattel is launching three new dolls influenced by Star Wars: A New Hope characters dressed as Princess Leia, Darth Vader and R2D2, which are available for pre-order on the Barbie website for US$100 dollars each. The dolls become available to ship on November 18.

While this is the first time the iconic doll has jumped aboard the Star Wars train, the Disney IP has worked with Mattel before with Star-Wars themed Hot Wheels cars as part of the Comic-Con reveals.

Disney has been busy this year building its CP partnerships to grow awareness for the upcoming feature film Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which premieres December 20. Last month, the media conglom unveiled a wide-range of CP at Comic-Con to tap into the nostalgia of the original space-opera films, make its old characters fresh again and tease its new projects. The new CP range includes posters (Acme Archives), a Stormtrooper mini-bust (Diamond Select), t-shirts, (Fifth Sun), Funko Pop! figures, LEGO sets, collectibles and ornaments (Hallmark), action figures (Hasbro, pictured above), porcelain sculptures (Lladro), watches and bags (Monogram), socks (Stance) and glasses (Seven20) to be displayed at the festival.
