Paris-based distributor PGS Entertainment has closed the first broadcast deals for French production companies ON Kids & Family and Zagtoon’s CG-animated series Denver the Last Dinosaur.

A reboot of the ’80s animated TV series of the same name, the new 52 x 11-minute series was picked up by international broadcasters Globosat (Brazil), TVA (Canada), RTBF (Belgium), Medialaan (Belgium), Minimax (Eastern Europe), MTVA (Hungary), Canal+ (Poland), TV Puls (Poland), Lattlecom (Latvia), and TVNZ (New Zealand). No launch dates for the networks have been announced yet.

Aimed at kids four to eight, the new comedy series was commissioned by French broadcaster M6 and premiered in 2018. The adventure series is about a dinosaur who is raised by humans and looks for fun adventures on the beaches of California.

The original 50 x 30-minute series was a popular property, with global preschool channel JimJam picking up the show for its Italian feed in 2011.
