Julie Dill was named VP of global licensing, marketing and communications for Dr. Seuss Enterprises. In her new role, Dill will lead international partners and oversee the consumer products division with a focus on moving Dr. Seuss into new categories.

Dill will report to president Susan Brandt and will also serve as a member of the company’s executive team.

Prior to joining Dr. Seuss Enterprises, Dill was VP of marketing, creative and partnerships at BBC Studios where she led the marketing strategy, planning and development for drama franchises like Doctor Who and lead content brands for the Americas. Previously, she served as VP of marketing and licensing for 4Kids Entertainment.

Last year, Warner Bros. Pictures’ animated film production arm Warner Animation Group secured a partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises to produce multiple Dr. Seuss feature films (starting with an adaptation of the classic 1957 children’s book The Cat in the Hat). More recently, the company got creative with arts-inspired consumer products tied to the author’s latest “lost book” Horse Museum.
