The House of Mouse’s DisneyNOW app has picked up 46 eps of live-action series Odd Couples from New York-based producer The Dodo. The first 10 episodes launched earlier this week, and the remainder will roll out in the coming months.

The three-minute shorts revolve around the bond two real animals from different species have together. Videos like Dog Loves Protecting Her Raccoon Sister – JUNE & WAFFLES (pictured), have reached 1.2 million views on The Dodo’s YouTube channel—which has 4.9 million subscribers.

The animal-focused media company leaped into the kids market this past March with the launch of its Dodo Kids division. It kicked things off with kids-skewing YouTube channel Dodo Kids in May, which has already earned more than seven million views, driven by the popularity of its Odd Couple videos. Since its launch the producer has been busy growing its content slate and in July got the greenlight from Netflix for its preschool series Izzy Bee’s Koala World about an 11-year-old “Koala whisperer” who lives on Australia’s Magnetic Island and rescues little animals.

DisneyNOW hosts Disney Junior, Disney Channel and Disney XD shows, games and live television content. The media conglom has been growing its offering this year and added a third season of its live interactive trivia series Disney QUIZney to the platform in April. It also added the first season of family comedy Gabby Duran & the Unsittables to the app in October.
