CBS All Access is rolling out its first children’s series today for on-demand subscribers, and has announced that in January the growing catalogue will also feature a library of Nickelodeon programming.

The news comes few days before the ViacomCBS merger closes, which is set for December 4, and will see select titles from the Viacom kidsnet become available on the CBS streamer. Specific titles have not been revealed.

Beyond the Nickelodeon content, CBS All Access is launching new seasons of WildBrain’s Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs and Boat Rocker’s Danger Mouse. Alongside those shows will be library content from WildBrain, such as Bob the Builder, Madeline and Inspector Gadget.

It was first announced that CBS was getting into kids content back in August, when the president and COO of CBS Interactive said that “based on the age and demographics of our subscriber base, with an average age of 44, we see a significant opportunity to invest in children’s programming and provide even more value for subscribers with new original and a world-class library of programming, specifically catered to our subscribers’ children.”

At launch, parental pin controls will be available across CBS.com, the CBS app for iOS and Android, Amazon Fire, Andriod TV, Apple TV, Roku and Xbox One.

While this is a big library deal, Nickelodeon also inked another big streaming agreement recently, partnering with Netflix on a multi-year output deal to produce original animated feature films and TV series for kids and families. Under the deal, the two companies will create content from Nick’s library of characters and new IP.
