As the prodco brings more marketing efforts in house, Mickael Zeggagh and Noémie Bourrié will focus on international growth.

French animation studio Millimages is expanding its international growth efforts with two new hires for its sales, licensing and merchandising teams.

The indie studio behind animated series Molang and Pirata & Capitano has brought on Mickael Zeggagh (pictured, left) as its commercial director of licensing and merchandising. In charge of developing new partnerships with licensees worldwide, Zeggagh will support the development of new products and implement retail solutions with partners. Prior to joining Millimages, Zeggagh was the managing director and founder of Bangkok-based content distribution and licensing agency MZMEDIA.

Growing its sales team, the studio has named Noémie Bourrié (pictured, right) as its new international sales manager. She will be responsible for linear and non-linear distribution of the studio’s programs to Germany, Central Europe, MENA, South East Asia, Turkey and India. She previously worked at Paris-based Cyber Group Studios as its international sales executive and was in charge of selling its animated kids series to Asia and LatAm. She was also the sales executive and marketing manager for Parisian TV documentary distribution company Lucky You, responsible for sales to Asia, MENA, Russia and Oceania.

Going forward, Bourrié and Zeggagh will work to grow the brand awareness for Molang by expanding into stationery and kitchenware, as well as target older audiences starting in 2020, says Millimages head of marketing and communication Lise Consentino.

Molang is already big in the B2B space and now we want to grow with consumers,” says Cosentino. “Instead of turning over the marketing to a broadcaster, who can’t advertise all of their brands all the time, we’re handling it ourselves and building a 360-degree campaign.”

Millimages has been growing its international sales efforts in the past few months and this past September the studio sold its 157 x 3.5-minute animated series Molang to German free TV broadcaster KiKA. In June, US kidsnet Discovery Family Channel snagged the prodco’s Pirata & Capitano.
