Sesame Workshop
Sesame Workshop has partnered with Illinois-based indie book publisher Sourcebooks to launch a series of companion books for Apple TV+’s Ghostwriter series.
Republished versions of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and The Jungle Book are available now and the brand’s original book Trinity is launching at the end of December. More republished and original titles will be announced as the TV series continues. The new companion books are being adapted by up and coming middle-grade authors who are changing the descriptions of some of the book’s characters to match their appearances in the show. Each title also includes vocabulary and reading comprehension games, puzzles and crafts tied to the story.
Apple TV+’s new series is a live-action mystery for kids six to 11, with every multi-episode arc inspired by different literary works. In the show, a ghost goes around releasing fictional characters from books into the real world and a group of kids have to help return the icons back to their stories. Toronto-based prodco Sinking Ship and Sesame Workshop produce the show that debuted on November first.
