ZAG and ON Kids & Family have locked in several new international broadcast deals for animated series Power Players.

California-based animation studio ZAG has signed a non-exclusive SVOD deal with Netflix, which launched the mixed media (CG-animated and live action) series globally on March 5. Other new international broadcasters to hop on the 78 x 11-minute series include Channel 9 (Australia), PLUSPLUS (Ukraine), Karusel (Russia), Teletoon (Canada).

The series has previously been picked up in a number of territories, including by Discovery LatAm, France Télévisions, Gloob (Brazil) and Cartoon Network in the US, EMEA and Asia Pacific. The series first premiered on Cartoon Network last August.

ZAG’s new series revolves around an animated young boy who transforms into an action figure and goes on adventures with a team of toys in a live-action world. Created by ZAG CEO Jeremy Zag, the series is developed in collaboration with France’s ON Kids & Family, and California-based Man of Action Entertainment.

The show also already has a master toy partner on board: Playmates Toys signed on last year to create a line set to launch worldwide later this year. Earlier this year ZAG signed a long-term partnership with Playmates to develop, manufacture and distribute consumer products inspired by its portfolio of brands.
