TeamTO isn’t letting a global pandemic stand in the way of new hires. The French animation studio tapped Clélia Santi (pictured, left) as head of production and Judith Bruneau (pictured, right) as line producer and talent scout.

In her new role, Santi manages day-to-day activities for productions at the company’s Paris and Bourg-lès-Valence studios. The studios’ current slate of development and production includes TeamTO’s Presto! School of Magic and Mighty Mike, eOne’s PJ Masks and Ricky Zoom, and Silvergate’s Netflix series Creature Cases. Santi joined TeamTO from Blue Spirit Productions, where she served as executive producer.

Santi began working with the company earlier this month—several weeks into France’s quarantine in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. She was introduced to the team through a video call.

Bruneau, meanwhile, started in her new position three weeks before France’s shutdown. Her new gig means she is responsible for researching, recruiting and overseeing talent. She manages staffing needs for both of TeamTO’s studios across pre-production, production and post-production. Bruneau rejoins the company from Superprod, where she served as director of production, after previously working with TeamTO on Skylanders and Ricky Zoom.

TeamTO previously implemented new technology and protocols to enable staff to work remotely in anticipation of a move to a new studio (planned for 2021). These changes enabled the studio to transition its staff to working from home in a period of three days. (The company’s production is done in-house in France.) But even as production continues on many animated series around the world, distributors are bracing for a shift in broadcasters’ demands.
