Gaumont is streamlining its operations in the US under the leadership of Nicolas Atlan (pictured). The studio’s former head of animation and family takes over as president of Gaumont US, adding oversight of the US and Latin American drama divisions to his remit.

Atlan will now oversee all of these Stateside Gaumont divisions, including creative, production, business affairs, finance and marketing. And former head of US television Gene Stein will exit the company to pursue other opportunities.

As part of the reorg, several other Gaumont kids execs have also been promoted, including Terry Kalagian, who moves up from SVP of creative development for animation and family to EVP of creative content. She will continue to report to Atlan and oversee all creative activity across the US business.

Kalagian’s team incudes creative execs Alexandra Hunter, Kimberly Dennison and Christian Gabela, who have all been promoted to SVPs. Also reporting to Kalagian is SVP, creative executive Johanna Byer; VP, creative execs Alexandra Smith and Michelle Sullivan; executive director, creative Sean Wolfson; and creative director Alex Soto.

Gaumont has made several personnel shuffles recently, including hiring Sullivan just last week. In May, the animation and family team brought in Cyril Le Pesant to lead Gaumont Animation in Paris, and Karen Vermeulen as SVP of global co-production, financing and business development.
