Get ready to roast marshmallows, because Keith Chapman (creator of PAW Patrol and Bob the Builder) is back at it again, partnering with UK-based Studio Liddell and China’s Alpha Group on new preschool series Camp Furly.

The 52 x 11-minute CG show focuses on outdoor adventures in an effort to inspire kids to connect with nature. Currently in pre-production, Camp Furly is being pitched to broadcasters and streamers for an anticipated delivery in spring/summer 2022.

The series follows a group of Furlies as they rock-climb, bike and sing songs around the campfire, developing life skills and learning about nature along the way. In addition to educating kids about the environment, each episode focuses on the importance of teamwork and friendship.

Raydar Media will manage distribution and consumer products rights for the series globally (excluding China and Asia). Alpha Group, meanwhile, will co-produce and serve as global master toy partner, handling distribution and CP in China and Asia.

Camp Furly is the latest offering in the industry’s ongoing sustainability push. And in addition to developing more eco-focused content, kidcos are increasingly going green behind the scenes as well.

This project marks the fourth new show for Chapman in recent months. In addition to partnering with Toonz Media Group on preschool series Paddypaws & Pals, he will also serve as an executive producer on upcoming animated show Buddi for Netflix. In October, meanwhile, Chapman inked a development deal with Canadian animation studio Island of Misfits Media Ventures for his new CGI series Farmer Mars.
