The Jim Henson Company has hired former American Girl creative exec Kait Boss as its new manager of children’s television.

Reporting to president of TV Halle Stanford, Boss will source and oversee the development of both live-action and animated TV productions.

Boss most recently served as a creative executive and content producer for American Girl. In that role, she developed girl-focused stories into various formats such as live-action features and specials, chapter books, live events and short-form digital content.

Some of her credits include two seasons of WellieWishers and the development of Z. Crew.

Boss left American Girl in October 2019 and has since served as a writer/development consultant on several series that haven’t been announced yet.
