Registration for Kidscreen’s new digital event Kids of 2022 is now open. This series of research-driven presentations will run from October 20 to November 5 (with catch-up viewing available for two weeks following each session premiere).
Every Tuesday and Thursday, kid culture experts will dive into new findings to help the industry understand the long-term impact the pandemic will have on kids.
Kicking things off will be Cathy Gallant and Lisa Dracolakis, executive directors of consumer insights at Disney Channels. They break down how kids themselves have changed, what it’s meant for family dynamics, and where friends still fit in.
On October 22, MarketCast Kids VP Tiffany Aguilar will explore how play is evolving without face-to-face interaction. And the following week, Johanna Faigelman, CEO and founding partner of Human Branding, will dive into new research on how shared generational trauma and sustained anxiety will shape how kids grow up.
Sarah Riding, research and trends director for Kid Insight, is lined up to explore the new heroes and idols cropping up on kids’ radar on October 29, and Dubit SVPs Adam Woodgate and David Kleeman will break down changes in how kids choose platforms and content and what we can expect to stick around on November 3. Finally, Lauren Glaubach, head of YouTube’s kids and family content, will close out the series with a look at how the pandemic has forever altered the lines between online and offline behavior.
There are only 300 passes available for the Kids of 2022 virtual series, and registration is priced at US$149. More information is available here.
