Warner Animation Group is hoping that one of the places you’ll go is to the movies. The Warner Bros. Pictures animated film production arm is partnering with Dr. Seuss Enterprises on two new feature films.

Bad Robot Productions will bring Oh, The Places You’ll Go to the big screen, marking the production company’s first animated feature. The movie is scheduled for 2027, with J.J. Abrams producing alongside Bad Robot’s head of motion pictures, Hannah Minghella.

The mischievous sidekicks from The Cat in The Hat will also star in an original animated feature film called Thing One and Thing Two (working title) that’s set to hit screens in 2026.

These new projects expand Warner’s existing partnership with Dr. Seuss Enterprises. In 2018, Warner Animation Group and Dr. Seuss announced they would adapt multiple properties, including a new version of The Cat in the Hat that’s being directed by Erica Rivinoja (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2) and Art Hernandez (Planes) for a 2024 release.

In small screen news, Warner Bros. Animation’s Netflix series Green Eggs and Ham has been renewed for a second season. The animated show from executive producer Ellen DeGeneres and creator Jared Stern launched last year.

Theodor Seuss Geisel’s The Cat in the Hat bowed in 1957 and was followed by now-classic titles like How the Grinch Stole Christmas and The Lorax. The Seuss brand has since grown to include significant content and consumer products programs, and remains active in new property launches. In 2019, for example, Dr. Seuss Enterprises commissioned mobile game studio Sugar Creative to produce a series of augmented-reality apps, and later launched two new titles based on previously unpublished work from Geisel.
