Former 9 Story Media Group and Disney Channel alum Fonda Snyder has joined Montreal toyco Battat as EVP of its newly formed entertainment division. Snyder will lead creative development, packaging and production on adaptations of Battat’s toy brands, including Our Generation, Li’l Woodzeez and Glitter Girls.
Snyder joined the company in September, and is tasked with inking partnerships with family entertainment companies, animation studios, broadcasters and streamers.
Prior to the launch of its entertainment division, Battat was primarily focused on building its consumer products business with doll brands (Our Generation, Lori, Glitter Girls) and playsets like Terra (dinosaurs) and Li’l Woodzeez (woodland animals).
Snyder previously spent 12 years as president of Alchemy Ink, heading up the prodco’s TV and movie content output, which includes Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum for PBS KIDS.
Before that, she served as VP of Disney Channel original movies and managed development on new films. And earlier in her career, Snyder worked as a development executive and consultant at 9 Story Media Group, and as SVP of creative development and US sales at Cookie Jar Entertainment.
