Following a nearly 20-year career with Disney Television Animation, Jermaine Turner has shifted gears and will focus on adult-skewing toons over at Netflix. The former VP of development at Disney TVA joined the SVOD last month as director of original series for adult animation, Kidscreen has confirmed.

He is reporting to head of adult animation, Mike Moon at Netflix.

Turner started at Disney in 2002 as a coordinator of original series. He worked his way up through a series of roles focused on co-productions and original and current series, before moving into development in 2019. Turner’s most recent promotion was in March, when he was upped from executive director to VP of development. During his time at the House of Mouse, Turner oversaw series such as Kim Possible and Power Rangers, and most recently worked on the development of Marvel’s Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.

There was no word at press time on who will replace Turner at Disney.
