ZAG is continuing to build its consumer products division with the appointment of Sarah Boyer as VP of retail for North America. Beginning in the newly created role today, Boyer will manage strategic relationships across all tiers of retail, build licensing programs and supporting licensees with product placement and promotion.
She joins ZAG from MGA Entertainment, where she served as senior director of North America retail business development. And before that, Boyer worked at DreamWorks Animation and 20th Century Fox Consumer Products.
ZAG plans to bow a range of new products in anticipation of the upcoming film Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir The Awakening, as well as the show’s fourth and fifth seasons. A new toy line from ZAG Labs and Playmates will hit shelves next year, and new items from the likes of InSpirit Designs, Jay Franco, Bentex, Bioworld, Komar Brands, Handcraft Manufacturing, Hot Topic, PPE Foundation, Peachtree Playthings, Inkology, AXNY and Taste Beauty are also due out in 2021 and 2022.
Boyer reports to ZAG’s SVP of global licensing, Kirk Bloomgarden, and will also work closely with Rebekah Belzer (VP of new business and retail development), Lisa Foster (VP of licensing for North America) and Elinor Schops (VP of games and interactive experiences).
Bloomgarden and Belzer joined the team in March, Foster was appointed in September, and Schops‘s stint with ZAG started in October when the company launched its new ZAG Games & Interactive Experiences division.
