Jazwares has promoted four execs, including chief commercial officer Laura Zebersky (pictured) to president. Her husband Judd Zebersky, who founded the company in 1997 and has held the dual president/CEO role, will remain on board as CEO.
Laura previously ran Jazwares’ global licensing, marketing and sales efforts. She was the recipient of the Women in Toys Wonder Women Award in 2017, which honors top execs in the industry who are thought leaders and changemakers. Before joining Jazwares in 2005, she was a trial lawyer.
Meanwhile, Kelly Deen has been promoted to SVP of marketing. Prior to joining Jazwares in 2019, she led marketing at Magic Leap and worked on the consumer marketing team at Cartoon Network.
Gerhard Runken was also promoted to SVP of brand for the toyco’s boy brands and Kellytoy business. His remit now includes Squishmallows, Micro Machines and Pokémon. Previously, he was VP of marketing and brand at Wicked Cool Toys before it was acquired by Jazwares in October 2019.
Finally, Jonny Taylor has been promoted from managing director of UK and Nordics to SVP of Europe. He established the UK office in 2012, and has managed the Germain office since February 2020.
