Nickelodeon is banking on preschool in a big way with its four latest renewals. The kidcaster has ordered more of The Adventures of Paddington with a 26 x half-hour second season that launched on February 19. Heyday Films and StudioCanal co-produce the CG-animated series in association with Copyrights. Jon Foster and James Lamont developed it for TV and serve as writers and executive producers.

The kidsnet has also greenlit a second season of Santiago of the Seas, a fourth season of Blue’s Clues & You!, and a ninth season of PAW Patrol (pictured, top). All of these reups are for 26 x half hours, but no release dates have been announced yet.

WarnerMedia is expanding its slate with a handful of renewals for Cartoon Network and HBO Max. The SVOD has given another nod to Gremlins: The Secrets of Mogwai ahead of its season one premiere. Warner Bros. Animation and Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television are co-producing the animated prequel.

Matt Burnett and Ben Levin’s Craig of the Creek was reupped for a fourth season, and WarnerMedia also ordered a fourth season of Infinity Train from Cartoon Network Studios. And finally, supernatural comedy series Victor and Valentino (pictured, middle) from Diego Molano is greenlit for a third season from Cartoon Network Studios.

Netflix is conjuring up a second season of Fate: The Winx Saga (pictured, bottom) from Archery Pictures in the UK. Production on season two starts later this year, with Brian Young (The Vampire Diaries) attached as the showrunner and executive producer. The eight x one-hour second season will continue to track a group of five fairies as they learn to master their powers while dealing with love and rivalries. Netflix first unveiled plans to launch a live-action adaptation of the animated Winx series in 2016.

The streamer is also about to launch a second season of Alien TV (26 x half hours) globally on March 19. Entertainment One and POP Family Entertainment co-produce the slapstick comedy series for six to 11s, which follows an alien TV crew that tries to report on Earth’s news to their audience. The CG-animated series originally launched in June 2020 on Nine Network in Australia.

Finally, CBeebies has reupped Hushabye Lullabye from Scottish studios Wild Child Animation and Maramedia. A 20-episode second season of the preschool series about a curious little alien who goes on a calming intergalactic musical journey will launch this year.
