Disney Channel is building out its Miraculous offering Stateside, picking up seasons four and five of ZAG’s MiraculousTales of Ladybug & Cat Noir to air in the US.

Disney previously had linear TV rights to both seasons everywhere except the US, Canada, Brazil, Australia, Korea and China. The US net will start airing season four (26 x 11 minutes) this summer.

Miraculous stars two teens who use their secret superhero identities to fight crime together. The series first premiered on Nickelodeon’s US channel in 2015. In recent years, Disney has been scooping up much of the brand’s content, including global premiere rights to two animated TV movies from LA-based ZAG and ON Kids & Family in France. Last month, the broadcaster acquired all five seasons (130 x 22 minutes) of the 3D-animated adventure series for Disney+. The show’s first three seasons are already available globally (excluding Asia and Brazil) on Netflix.

ZAG has also signed several new Miraculous CP partners in the US. They include Crayola (color/activity books), Fast Forward (backpacks), Kid Designs (headphones), Komar Kids (sleepwear), Peachtree Playthings (crafts), Galerie (confectionery), Inkology (stationery), Trends International (posters) and Card.com (branded debit and credit cards). Online retailers Mighty Mojo Toys (party goods) and All About Vibe (pillows) have joined the partner list as well.
