Kidscreen is launching a new virtual event called Pitchfest to connect kids content creators with buyers and co-producers looking for fresh new concepts.

Running from September 13 to 17, the five-day speed pitching program will provide more than 2,000 one-on-one meetings.

In a recent Kidscreen survey, nearly two-thirds (62.3%) of industry respondents said they aren’t planning to attend live events until Q1 2022 at the earliest, and Pitchfest aims to help content creators get their ideas discovered and financed during this temporary break from in-person meetings.

There are only 400 Pitchfest passes available, and each attendee will be able to have up to five scheduled meetings. In the lead-up to the event, participants will pre-select the key buyers they’d like to meet with, and an automated lottery system will assign the meetings.

Attendees will also be able to book meetings with each other using the KidscreenXchange platform. And a virtual lounge will be open 24/7 during Pitchfest, allowing attendees to connect casually and participate in nonstop speed networking.

Online registration for Pitchfest is now open, and more information is available on the website.

In the new year, Kidscreen Summit is returning to Miami as a live event running from February 14 to 17.
