The winners of the 2021 Licensing International Excellence Awards were revealed at a live virtual event yesterday, including the first-ever Pandemic Pivot Award recipient. Peanuts Worldwide took the honor for its development and distribution of free in-home educational materials.
Evergreen brands were this year’s biggest winners, with fan-favorites like Peppa Pig and LEGO each taking home multiple trophies. The awards ceremony helped to kick off an online Virtual Licensing Expo 2021 trade show that’s taking place this week.
Representing seven different countries (China, Finland, France, Japan, Singapore, the UK and the US), 22 winners were selected from among 152 nominees. And Licensing International received more than 650 entries in total this year.
The ceremony also showcased International Rising Star Award recipients including James Choi (ELLALAN), Addie Dorsey Goossens (Ubisoft), Rachel Hak (Crayola), Kevin Ramsey (Warren James), Jyoti Sardana (OneTeam Partners) and Caroline Verdugo (Beanstalk). And Kathy Ireland (CEO of Kathy Ireland Worldwide) and Salvatore LaRocca (president of global partnerships at NBA) were inducted into the Licensing Hall of Fame.
