US streamer Peacock is expanding its kids programming offering with two new preschool series, Babble Bop! and The Makery.

Set to drop in December, music-focused Babble Bop! (pictured) is a 72 x 2.5-minute series that will be delivered in half-hour blocks. It’s animated in CG and features original songs and modern takes on classic nursery rhymes. Babble Bop! is in production at Dark Slope Studios, with Dan Fill and Raja Khanna executive producing and Christine Thompson producing. The series is written by Katherine Standford and directed by Luke Jurevicius and Tim Thompson.

Live-action/CG-animated hybrid The Makery, meanwhile, is part of Peacock’s new partnership with Sky Kids that is also working on musical comedy Take Note. The 25 x 15-minute series focuses on imagination and creativity, and each themed episode invites viewers to follow along with the host as they do everything from art projects to kitchen experiments.

The Makery was co-commissioned by Peacock and Sky Kids from Terrific Television. The prodco’s Nic Aying and Driana Jones are EPs on the series, with Richard Hunt producing, and Ian France executive producing for Sky Kids. A premiere date was not available at press time.

Until now, much of Peacock’s original kids content lineup has consisted of DreamWorks Animation spinoffs, including Dragons Rescue Riders: Heroes of the Sky and The Croods: Family Tree.
