Disney Television Animation has added two new VPs of development to oversee its pipeline of content for Disney+ and Disney Channel.
Former Blue Sky Studios exec Lisa Fragner (pictured left) has joined Disney TVA to build Disney+’s content slate as one of the new development VPs. Based in New York, she reports to Emily Hart, SVP of animation development for Disney Branded Television. Fragner has been working as a consultant to Disney since it shut down Blue Sky in April, and she officially joined TVA in October, according to a company spokesperson. Prior to that, she had been a VP of development at Blue Sky since 2003 and spent two decades steering films such as Ice Age: Dawn of The Dinosaurs, Rio and Spies in Disguise.
Disney TVA has also promoted Elizabeth Waybright Taylor (pictured right) into a VP of development position, tasking her with guiding new animated projects for Disney Channel’s six to 11 demo. She started this week and also reports to Hart. Taylor most recently served as executive director of development, overseeing toons such as Amphibia and The Wonderful World of Mickey Mouse. Before joining Disney in 2010, she worked in animation production at Nickelodeon.
These staffing changes come on the heels of Disney Television Animation greenlighting two new series for six to 11s, Hailey’s On It! and Primos.
