Full-service animation studio Hero4Hire has brought in former Nickelodeon exec Christina Augustinos (pictured) as head of content production.

She started earlier this month and will lead creative marketing, brand and content initiatives to bolster the Boston-based company’s move into original IPs and larger-scale projects.

Augustinos had most recently been working as a freelance production consultant, but she previously spent 16 years at Nickelodeon, rising through the ranks to VP of production. In this role, she oversaw the production of promotional marketing campaigns for the Nick brand and properties such as SpongeBob SquarePants and iCarly, as well as serving as VP of creative operations for the Noggin video streaming service.

Hero4Hire has been on a bit of a hiring spree of late, bringing in filmmaker Jordan Beck as head of development in September, along with animator Abby Duel as associate creative director.

The studio, which launched in 2010, specializes in 2D and 3D animation; mixed media, including practical and digital effects; and motion graphics for sectors such as education, advertising and food. Its clients include the likes of Nickelodeon, Sesame Workshop, Cartoon Network and Hasbro.
