WarnerMedia Kids & Family has greenlit two new projects that will expand the world of its hit animated series Craig of the Creek. In addition to a season-five renewal for the core show, the spinoff projects include preschool series Jessica’s Big Little World (pictured) and an animated film called Craig of the Creek: The Movie.
Set to debut on Cartoonito in 2023, Jessica’s Big Little World is a 2D-animated series starring Craig’s little sister, who overcomes challenges like creating a bedtime routine and saying hello to a new classmate. The toon will focus on themes of communication, imaginative play and perseverance.
Craig of the Creek: The Movie is a 2D-animated origin story, and is expected to premiere on HBO Max and Cartoon Network in 2023. The concept for the film encompasses treasure maps, pirate ships and a villain who wants to destroy the Creek.
The fifth season of Craig of the Creek, meanwhile, is scheduled to premiere early next year. Season four debuted on Cartoon Network on January 17 and will hit HBO Max on February 17. Aimed at boys ages six to 11, Craig of the Creek has been on air since 2018.
Craig of the Creek, Jessica’s Big Little World and Craig of the Creek: The Movie are all co-created and executive produced by Matt Burnett and Ben Levin (Steven Universe). Former Craig of the Creek supervising director Tiffany Ford also co-created and executive produced Jessica’s Little Big World.
