Federation Kids & Family
The French distributor and Germany’s ZDF Enterprises have inked new deals with Disney+ and Italian pubcaster RAI for live-action series Find Me in Paris (pictured). The multi-territory deal with Disney’s streamer covers all three seasons of the 78 x 26-minute series about a time-traveling, ballet-dancing Russian princess. And RAI, which has rights to the first two seasons already, has picked up the third.
Produced by ZDF and Federation’s Cottonwood Media, Find Me in Paris debuted in 2018 on Hulu in the US and Disney Channel Italy. It has also been sold to Nickelodeon (UK), France Télévisions, Disney Channel France, ABC Australia and VRT (Belgium).
Bejuba!
Canadian distributor Bejuba! Entertainment has picked up distribution rights to an upcoming kids animated series called Lisa and Kolos, which is currently in production. The 10 x-13-minute/five x 26-minute show was created by Paris-based prodco Melting Productions, and has been commissioned by France’s Canal Plus. It’s expected to launch this July. The intergalactic premise sees superhero Kolos sent to the peaceful planet of Tchoukitty, which is home to sweet bunny Lisa. The duo must race to get to the Queen in the Land of Rainbows before an evil overlord stops them.
Space Racers
The animated preschool series (50 x 11 minutes) has secured digital distribution on Amazon Prime Video, Tubi, Vudu, Roku and YouTube Kids. Space Racers features talking spaceship-cadets who soar through the galaxy. It has been translated into more than 25 languages and already airs in 130 countries. The Space Racers brand also encompasses a line of children’s toys and merchandise that’s currently available on Amazon.
Omens Studios
Two of the animation studio’s preschool series, Leo the Wildlife Ranger and Counting with Paula (both 60 x 11 minutes), are expanding their global SVOD and AVOD reach. Counting with Paula will stream globally on Roku, Android TV and Amazon Fire TV, while Leo the Wildlife Ranger heads to AVOD VlogBox.
PlayMonster
The Walt Disney Company has signed a new licensing agreement that will see characters such as Elsa, Buzz Lightyear and Mickey Mouse featured on Hasbro Spirograph products. PlayMonster brokered the deal, which includes branded Spirograph Cyclex Clip and Spirograph Cyclex Studio SKUs. (Spirograph Cyclex Clips are drawing tools that use rotating stencil wheels to create intricate spiral designs or patterns.) Hasbro and PlayMonster extended an existing partnership in 2019 in order to build out the Spirograph brand.
