Jetpack Distribution has acquired worldwide rights to 2D-animated preschool shows Alice’s Diary and Wussywat the Clumsy Cat.

Currently in production, Alice’s Diary is a 52 x four-minute co-production between Sardinha Em Lata in Portugal, Spain’s Alice AIE and Brazil’s Geppetto Films. It ‘s set to air on public broadcasters Radio e Televisão Portuguesa and RTVE in Spain, as well as on Disney Junior in Latin America.

The series focuses on Alice, a young girl who tries to understand the world through art she creates. As Alice talks and draws, her pictures come to animated life, adding a comedic visual backdrop for her thoughts.

Meanwhile, Wussywat the Clumsy Cat (52 x five minutes) is driven by the misadventures of a cat who’s always eager to learn despite the challenges he encounters. Targeting two- to four-year-olds, Wussywat is a co-pro from the UK’s Baby Cow Animation and Bigfatstudios and Toronto-based Smiley Guy Studios.

Originally commissioned by CBeebies, the series has already aired in multiple territories on broadcasters such as JIMJAM, WeKids, SVT, Mediacorp and RTVE.
