French prodco Dandelooo has announced a series of new deals that will see its content for preschoolers, kids and tweens hit new markets in Asia and Latin America.
Shooom’s Odyssey (pictured) has been picked up by China’s UYoung Media and EBS Korea, building on strong sales momentum that saw the 26-minute preschool special land 10 broadcast deals in 2021. EBS has also acquired 2D-animated film Mum is Pouring Rain (29 minutes). And Beijing Joy Culture Media bought Jar Dwellers SOS and shorts series 1 Minute in a Museum.
In Latin America, Sky Brazil’s Escuela+ acquired Siesta Z and tween series Simplex for its Skyplay and Direct TV Play platforms. And HITN picked up Spanish-speaking US rights to Tainá and The Amazon Guardians, Cubs, Pigtail & Mr. Sleeplessness, Petit and Rita & Crocodile.
And finally, Argentinian kids channel Pakapaka has licensed these titles for its preschool and bridge viewers—Pigtail & Mr. Sleeplessness, Hungry Bear Tales, The Treehouse Stories (season two), Mum is Pouring Rain, Cubs, Little Bear, Dounia and Tainá and The Amazon Guardians.
Dandelooo has been having similar distribution success with bridge series Billy the Cowboy Hamster (52 x 11 minutes), which sold to eight European broadcasters across six countries last year.
