Sinking Ship and Fred Rogers Productions’ Odd Squad is heading back to France with new broadcast partners that will pick up where Netflix left off.

The first season of the live-action kids comedy (40 x 22 minutes) for kids ages five to eight will begin airing this weekend on French streamer Okoo and the France 4 linear channel. This is Odd Squad‘s second mission in France. Netflix previously had the rights to season one in the region, but that deal ended in April 2021.

Odd Squad revolves around a group of silly-but-serious kids who investigate and debunk strange phenomena with math, problem-solving, teamwork and perseverance. Since the show first premiered in 2014 on Canada’s TVOKids and stateside on PBS KIDS, the Odd Squad brand has grown to include publishing and consumer products, a feature film (2016), interactive games and kids podcasts.

In November, WarnerMedia acquired the first two seasons (80 x 22 minutes) of Odd Squad for streaming in Latin America on HBO Max. Seasons two and three were also picked up last year by the BBC (UK), SRC (Canada) and ABC (Australia).
