Paramount Pictures COO Andrew Gumpert is adding oversight of Nickelodeon Studios to his remit. He is now COO of Paramount Pictures & Nickelodeon Studios, still reporting to the division’s CEO, Brian Robbins.

Since joining Paramount Pictures as COO in 2017, Gumpert has overseen business, operations and strategic planning for brands such as Sonic, Transformers and Star Trek. He also helped steer the studio’s business through the challenges of the pandemic and started a pipeline to feed content to new streamer Paramount+.

Gumpert takes on the top operations role at Nickelodeon Studios as it develops and produces new kids content for the SVOD, including a reboot of Snow Day as a live-action musical feature film, and a live-actioner based on 2D-animated series The Loud House.

Before joining Paramount, he was president of worldwide business affairs and operations at Sony Pictures Entertainment Motion Picture Group, where he managed production negotiations and financial partnerships.
