Cyber Group Studios and French kids broadcaster Gulli have partnered to develop two new original animated series in a deal that also includes a pre-buy of Taffy‘s third season. All three projects will start production this year.
The first of the two brand-new projects is The McFire Family, a CG-animated series for kids ages six to eight. Its 52 x 11-minute episodes center around three kid descendants of the world’s first firefighters as they work with their family to save lives using advanced technology and gadgets.
George Moby and Co. is a 78 x seven-minute comedy series showcasing the adventures of vegetarian lion George, who allows determined mouse Moby a chance to live inside his mouth.
Finally, season three of kids comedy Taffy will continue the capers of Bentley the dog, who is determined to show his owner that the cat she just took in is actually a raccoon. The format of the third season has not been finalized yet.
This deal announcement comes one day after news of Raphaelle Mathieu’s promotion into a newly created EVP role overseeing worldwide commercial activities and contributing to strategic growth planning.
