Warner Bros. Discovery EMEA has picked up the second season of CG-animated series Mush-Mush & the Mushables.

The new eps (48 x 11 minutes) will air in the region on HBO Max and Cartoonito, joining other second-season broadcasters including Canal+ (France), RTS (Switzerland), VRT-Ketnet and RTBF (Belgium).

London-based distributor CAKE is also a co-producer on Mush Mush with France’s La Cabane and Thuristar in Belgium. Targeting four- to eight-year-olds, the show features pocket-sized guardians of the forest who are on a quest to learn about themselves.

Two specials (two x 22 minutes) are also currently in production concurrently with the second season. Season one (48 x 11 minutes) has aired in more than 150 territories to date, and made its US premiere on preschool block Cartoonito last September.

Warner Bros. Discovery has been investing steadily in preschool content for Cartoonito, which launched in 2021. Tom and Jerry Time, the IP’s first preschool series, was greenlit last year. And more recently, the company signed a deal earlier this year with Moonbug Entertainment to air preschool series CoComelon across the EMEA.
