Hot50 2022 is open for entries

It's time to throw your hat in the ring for our annual ranking of the hottest companies in kids broadcasting, production, distribution, licensing and digital media.
May 16, 2022

The submissions window for Kidscreen’s Hot50, an annual ranking of the top 50 companies in kids broadcasting, production, distribution, licensing and digital media, is now open.

Applicants have until July 29 to complete an  online form outlining their company’s three biggest achievements from the last 12 months. Submissions can be made in more than one category, depending on the scope of a company’s business, and there is no cost to enter.

In October, Kidscreen’s newsletter and magazine subscribers will get a chance to vote once in each category to determine 2022’s official rankings.

Last year, Disney+ joined repeat winner Netflix at the top of the broadcasting list, while Jetpack earned its first-ever Hot50 distribution crown. In production, Canadian prodco 9 Story Media Group dethroned Sinking Ship Entertainment; PBS KIDS was number-one in digital media for a third consecutive year; and The LEGO Group defended its top licensing spot.

Companies that make it into the Kidscreen Hot50 will be featured in a special end-of-year digital issue, as well as in copies of the magazine distributed at Kidscreen Summit 2023 (Feb 13-16, Miami). And the top-ranked companies in each category will also be recognized as part of a high-profile Kidscreen Awards ceremony at the event.

If you want to be in the Hot50 mix, now’s the time to enter.
