New York’s 41 Entertainment has closed six international broadcast deals for its Peacock-commissioned series Supernatural Academy.

Disney (Japan), ABC Australia, TVNZ (New Zealand), MBC (Middle East), HOT (Israel) and Crave (Canada) have all picked up the YA series. It will premiere down under on June 20, but the other channels and streamers are still locking down their air dates.

NBCUniversal-owned SVOD Peacock ordered Supernatural Academy in December 2021 and premiered it this January.

The 16 x 22-minute series is based on Jaymin Eve’s same-name book series, which she self-published. The screen adpaptation revolves around two werewolf sisters—one raised in the supernatural world, and the other among humans—who are reunited at a magic-focused boarding school and have to learn to trust each other.

41 Entertainment founder and managing director Allen Bohbot and Eve co-created the TV series concept together, and Vancouver’s ICON Creative Studio provided animation services on the production.
