It’s only been three months since her last promotion, but Paramount Global has just moved ViacomCBS veteran Pam Kaufman into a newly created role as president and CEO of international markets and global consumer products and experiences.
Kaufman assumes responsibilities that used to belong to president and CEO of international networks, studios and streaming Raffaele Annecchino, who left the company last month. Now reporting directly to president and CEO Bob Bakish, Kaufman will work with the global content and streaming teams to guide the rollout of Paramount and Pluto TV, while continuing to oversee the company’s robust consumer products and experiences business.
The new role signals Paramount’s focus on becoming a more global company, according to a release.
Kaufman has been steering the worldwide consumer products and experiences business since she was upped to president of that division in April. In this short time, she has forged several new partnerships and led the launch of Viacom’s fist direct-to-consumer e-commerce site The SpongeBob Shop.
Prior to this recent promotion, Kaufman served as president of Viacom/Nickelodeon global consumer products for four years, and she is a longtime member of the Nickelodeon executive team.
