Dead End: Paranormal Park won’t get a third season

As planned, Netflix has not renewed Blink Industries' animated series about teens at a haunted amusement park.

The animated series Dead End: Paranormal Park by British production company Blink Industries has hit its own dead end, with Netflix choosing not to renew it for a third season.

Aimed at kids ages seven and up, the series (20 x 24 minutes) follows the adventures of a transgender teen and a young girl with autism, who work as security guards in an amusement park’s haunted house. It’s based on the Dead End web short and DeadEndia graphic novels by Blink Industries EP Hamish Steele, who also created the series.

Dead End‘s first season premiered in June 2022, followed by season two in October the same year.

A Netflix spokesperson tells Kidscreen the plan was always to call it quits after two seasons. And in a post on Twitter, Steele says he knew a renewal wasn’t planned, but had hoped that Nextflix would change its mind.

Dead End joins The Imaginarium’s Half Bad: The Bastard Son & The Devil Himself and Fate: A Winx Saga in Netflix’s recently not-renewed club. The streamer also scrapped several animated series that were in various stages of development and production, including Kung-Fu Space Punch, Bone and Dino Daycare.
