Paris-based Xilam Animation has promoted a trio of executives into leadership positions, including two that will head up newly created departments.
After three years as Xilam’s EVP of content, Caterina Gonnelli-Linden (pictured center) moves up to CCO to supervise development and production for a brand-new content division. This unit consolidates several of Xilam’s creative departments, including literary and graphic development.
The company has also upped head of studio Cécile Hergaux-Essame (pictured left) to GM of Cube Creative, which Xilam acquired in 2020. She has worked at Cube for nearly a decade, initially as a production manager. Hergaux-Essame takes the reins from Cube founders Lionel Fages and Majid Loukil, and her remit includes the supervision of ongoing productions and development of new properties.
Based in Paris, both execs will report to Marc du Pontavice, president of both Xilam and Cube.
Guillaume Jallot (pictured right) was also promoted to chief technical officer, and he will head up another newly formed unit that combines Xilam’s IT, R&D and technical operations. Based in Angoulême, Jallot joined the company in 2018 as a production director, putting his CG animation expertise to work on the development of shows like Oggy Oggy.
Reporting to Xilam Group COO Dorothée Lanchier, he stepped into his new role last month and is responsible for managing technological investments and strategy.
