British animation prodco Aniventure has appointed former CAA agent Joe Della Rosa (pictured) as chief commercial officer.
Based in LA, he is responsible for oversight of sales and leading the commercial strategy of the company, which develops, produces and finances animated features, such as the 2022 CG-animated pic Paws of Fury: The Legend of Hank.
CEO and founder Adam Nagle said in a release that Della Rosa’s addition to the team is designed to spur it into a new phase of growth, calling Della Rossa a “key player in shaping our future.”
Della Rosa officially started at the role this month and reports to Nagle. He joins from American talent agency CAA, where he served as an agent from 2011 to 2023. Aniventure signed with CAA in 2020.
At CAA, he developed a specialization in animation within the Media Finance Group during this decade-plus tenure, representing studios like Cartoon Saloon (Wolfwalkers) in Ireland and projects like last year’s Apollo 10 1⁄2: A Space Age Childhood from filmmaker Richard Linklater.
As part of an ongoing production deal with London-based animation and VFX conglom Cinesite, Aniventure has two features in the pipeline—Hitpig!, a CG-animated family feature based on characters from author Berkeley Breathed and set for release later this year, and an animated adaptation of George Orwell’s Animal Farm.
