French animation prodco Cyber Group Studios has promoted Raphaelle Mathieu from EVP to COO.

She starts in her new role today, replacing Dominique Bourse, who was named president and CEO of the company in February. 

Mathieu joined Cyber Group in 2016 and was significantly involved in expanding its scope to include content for new audiences and business in new sectors. “For seven years, she has successfully developed our international distribution activity and played a key role in financing our series, as well as in the development of our commercial activity,” said Bourse in a release.

Prior to becoming an EVP in March 2022, Mathieu worked for six years as SVP of sales, acquisitions and new media. Before that, she was a director of acquisitions and sales at French distributor Zylo, and she launched animation studios Daydream Production (2005) and Timing (1998).
