Bluey’s hot live show is taking the stage in the UK and Ireland for the first time. Following sell-out shows in the US and Australia, a new 35-stop tour for Bluey’s Big Play will premiere in December at London’s Southbank Centre, where it will run until summer 2024. Australia’s Windmill Theatre Company and BBC Studios co-produce the show, which features an original story by Bluey’s creator Joe Brumm and new tunes from series composer Joff Bush. Since its debut tour in Australia in 2020, the IP’s first stage show has been seen by nearly a million people worldwide, according to a release.

Meanwhile, Disney has picked up a batch of 10 episodes from Bluey‘s third season (37 x eight minutes), set to hit Disney+ in North America, the UK and Ireland on July 12 before rolling out to Disney Channel and Disney Junior later this year. These episodes originally aired on Australian pubcaster ABC in 2022.

Studio Moggozi

Seoul-based Moggozi has acquired the animated series Talking Tom & Friends for distribution in South Korea. Based on Outfit7’s flagship franchise, the 156 x 11-minute series premiered in 2015 on Talking Tom & Friends YouTube channel (100 million subscribers), and follows the adventures of the talking cat and his friends as they try to make their dreams come true. The Talking Tom & Friends IP launched as a mobile video game in 2009 and has since expanded into TV with series including Talking Tom Heroes (2019).

Rebel Girls

LA-based Rebel Girls is partnering with metaverse game developer House of Blueberry to offer branded Rebel Girls content in House of Blueberry’s Roblox game. Content includes a short audio story and information about digital creators making their mark. The partnership comes after Rebel Girls raised US$13 million in a first round of funding in 2022, and US$8 million in a second round in March. Founded in 2012, North Carolina-based House of Blueberry has sold 20 million digital assets on platforms such as Roblox, The Sims and Second Life, according to a release.
