London-based distributor CAKE has partnered with Canadian studio Squeeze Productions to manage sales worldwide for its new CG-animated family series Cracké Family Scramble (pictured).

Sans dialogue, the 52 x seven-minute comedy based on Squeeze’s short-form series Cracké (52 x one minute) centers on an ostrich taking care of his eight wild kids. Patrick Beaulieu and Denis Doré, who created Cracké, are also behind this companion show. It’s aimed at kids four and up.

Production on Cracké Family Scramble is complete, and CAKE will start selling the series to buyers at MIPCOM in October. No broadcaster is attached yet, but a video game is already in the works.

The original Cracké short series, which premiered in 2018, aired in 210 countries after getting picked up by major broadcasters including Disney, Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network. It has also proven to be an online favorite, according to Squeeze, generating more than 600 million views worldwide on digital platforms including the Cracké YouTube channel (333,000 subscribers).
