Working on behalf of French co-producers TAT Productions and Master Films, PGS Entertainment has closed several new deals for CG-animated series The Jungle Bunch (158 x 11 minutes) in Asia and EMEA.
MBC (Middle East) has acquired season one, with Canal+ Poland and TV3 Catalunya (Spain) picking up seasons one, two and three. Meanwhile, in Asia, Mediacorp (Singapore), TV Derana (Sri Lanka) and Canal+ Ethiopia have licensed seasons one through three, along with 52-minute TV movie The Jungle Bunch: Back to the Ice Floe (2012). And in renewals, Télé-Québec (Canada) renewed its rights to season one, and NRK (Norway) reupped on seasons two and three.
The Jungle Bunch centers around a penguin (who thinks he’s a tiger) defending his jungle home from a gang of evil animals with the help of his friends. The series premiered on France 3 in 2013. To date, it has aired in more than 180 countries on broadcasters including Rai YoYo (Italy), Super RTL (Germany), Clan (Spain), ABC (Australia), TVNZ (New Zealand) and VRT (Belgium).
TAT has already expanded the Jungle Bunch franchise with a 90-minute, CG-animated film in 2017. And the prodco is preparing to release an 88-minute sequel called The Jungle Bunch 2: World Tour in early 2024.
