France’s PGS Entertainment has picked up global distribution rights to Mya Go, a 2D-animated co-pro from Motion Pictures (Spain), Piranha Bar (Ireland) and Gloobinho (Brazil)

PGS will distribute the 104 x 5.5-minute preschool series worldwide, other than Spain, the UK and Brazil, which Motion Pictures will continue to manage.

Mya Go is a young girl who uses her imagination to turn everyday activities like gardening and having a loose tooth into opportunities for fun. The series from Dublin’s Piranha Bar and Brazilian pay-TV channel Gloobinho has already been sold to broadcasters including Milkshake (UK), YLE (Finland), Clan (Spain), Televisa (Mexico), Gloob (Brazil) and Hop (Israel). Ireland’s RTÉjr originally commissioned the toon and premiered it in 2018.

Mya Go is the first animated series to come out of Piranha Bar, and it was created and directed by the studio’s VFX artist Alan Foley, with scripts from head writer Sam Morrison (Peppa Pig).

It joins titles including ZAG’s Miraculous: Tales of Ladybug & Cat Noir; The Jungle Bunch from TAT Productions and Master Films; and content featured on YouTube channel LooLoo Kids (more than 55 million subscribers) in the PGS distribution catalogue.
