Dutch distributor Incredible Film has closed a first international sale for preschool live-action series Saïd & Anna (16 x 6.5 minutes, pictured), which has been snapped up by Sweden’s public broadcaster SVT for a November 2024 launch.
The show focuses on sustainability and problem-solving, featuring two young girls who fix broken things (like a ripped-up teddy bear) at a repair shop owned by Saïd’s parents.
Amsterdam’s Phanta Basta! co-produced Saïd & Anna with broadcasters EO (Netherlands), SWR (Germany) and VRT (Belgium).
On the heels of making its global marketplace debut at MIP Junior, Saïd & Anna premiered in EO’s NPO Zappelin kids programming block and VRT’s Ketnet channel on October 21. Meanwhile, Kika has slated the series to roll out in May next year.
During its first week on air, the series cornered a 49% share of Dutch preschool viewership, according to Incredible Film. The distributor will be meeting with more potential buyers at Asia TV Forum & Market, which takes place in Singapore from December 5 to 8.
Incredible Film specializes in the worldwide distribution of kids and family content from the Netherlands. Most recently, it picked up a tween feature called Miss Vomit and The Magical Ring, based on a same-name book by Dutch author and actress Carry Slee.
