PlayMonster hires former Mattel exec as its first CCO

Brian Fitzharris has joined to oversee global sales and marketing for the Wisconsin-based toyco, which does a lot of licensed business with Hasbro.

PlayMonster has hired seasoned toy marketing exec Brian Fitzharris as its first chief commercial officer.

Fitzharris started in his newly created role last month, and is charged with overseeing global  sales for the Wisconsin-based toyco, as well as managing its marketing team and e-commerce operations. He will also develop go-to-market strategies for PlayMonster’s proprietary and licensed toy portfolios. 

Reporting directly to CEO Steve Adolph, Fitzharris has just come off an 11-month consulting stint. But before that, he worked at Mattel for 17 years in leadership positions including VP and head of marketing for APAC (2017 to 2019), senior director of global marketing for Barbie (2014 to 2017) and VP of sales/head of the Walmart & Sam’s Club account (2019 to 2023), which he grew in sales volume by more than US$169 million.

As part of its business, PlayMonster produces and distributes licensed toys for Hasbro brands including PlaySkool (preschool playsets), Weebles (figures), Glo Worm (sensory dolls) and Koosh (rubber balls).
