Netflix is integrating Animal Logic into its global animation studio structure and has put Karen Toliver (pictured), VP of animation film, in place to head up teams in LA, Sydney and Vancouver. As part of the restructure, Animal Logic CEO Sharon Taylor has resigned.
Netflix acquired Animal Logic in 2022 in order to produce more long-form animated content. At the time, Netflix stated that the Aussie prodco would remain independent. Netflix confirmed the news but had no official comment to share.

Based in Sydney, Animal Logic has worked on films including DC League of Super-Pets, Peter Rabbit 2, The Magician’s Elephant and Leo, which has generated more than 50 million views since its November 17 launch on Netflix. This CG-animated musical comedy is about a lizard who helps a group of middle-graders overcome their problems while planning his escape from the school where he has been kept in captivity as a class pet.
Toliver joined Netflix in March 2022, leaving an SVP of production role at Sony Pictures that saw her spearhead Hair Love and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Prior to that, she spent 10 years at Fox Animation, where she supervised production on the Rio film franchise and Ferdinand.
