Dutch sales agent Incredible Film has signed on to handle distribution for a new sci-fi fantasy film called Game On (pictured) outside of the Benelux region.
Gates Pictures, based in the Netherlands, produced this 85-minute live-action pic for the six to 12 demo about a young boy who teams up with a group of elite gamers to take down an evil AI that has infested their local arcade.
Game On is hitting theaters in the Netherlands next month, and Incredible Film will start shopping the project internationally. The distributor specializes in taking Dutch kids projects into the global marketplace. It has been building up its catalogue over the past year with numerous homegrown films and series and just closed sales for two of these titles.
Live-action preschool series Saïd & Anna (16 x 6.5 minutes) has been picked up by Norwegian pubcaster NRK, which will air it in late 2024. Centering around two besties who fix broken things at a family repair shop, the show secured its first-ever international sale in November to Sweden’s SVT.
Incredible has also signed on Assago-based distributor Plaion Pictures to sell family feature The Infinite Slime Movie (2023) in Italy. This 81-minute film is the fourth installment in the Slime movie franchise, starring a girl who navigates the magical powers that come with making and playing with slime. The first movie, The Great Slime Film (2020), earned US$2 million at the Dutch box office as per Box Office Mojo, making it the region’s highest-grossing children’s movie that year.
