Roblox has finished its year strong, with big growth across the board in revenue, bookings and active users.

In the Q4 earnings report it published yesterday, the San Mateo-based company reported revenue of US$749.9 million, marking a 30% year-over-year increase. Bookings—a category that encompasses virtual currency, one-time purchases and subscriptions—generated US$1.12 billion for the quarter, up 25% compared to the same period last year.

Annual revenue increased by 26% to US$2.79 billion, and total bookings for the year hit US$3.52 billion, which is up 23%.

The revenue bump is attributed to increases in active users and engagement. Roblox reached 71.5 million daily active users in Q4, representing an all-time high and an increase of 22% year over year. Players spent 15.5 billion hours on the platform this quarter—another record, and an increase of 21% compared to the same period in 2022.

An influx of older players and international market expansion are what’s driving the growth. Roblox also became available on Meta Quest and Sony Playstation in Q4, opening up the user base on these new platforms. Quarterly expenditures were also down significantly, coming in at just US$65.2 million compared to US$157.2 million the previous year.

The company remains bullish on its future, projecting steady annual revenue growth of 20%-plus through 2027.
