BBC Studios has partnered with London-based meal kit company Gousto to launch a new range of family dinner recipes based on its flagship preschool franchise Bluey.

Gousto will roll out these branded recipe kits next week, and they include easy-to-make meals inspired by the Heeler family’s favorite foods, such as Bingo’s BBQ chicken burger, Bluey’s fish goujons (pictured) and Bandit’s pork springroll wraps. The recipe cards will also feature exclusive artwork designed by Australia’s Ludo Studio to show what each dish would look like in the animated series.

The goal of this unique licensing collaboration is to unite families in the UK by transforming an ordinary dinner into an adventure with Bluey. A typical family in the region spends just six hours a week together, and key drivers keeping them apart include long working hours (56%) and social media (20%), according to a study commissioned by McCain Foods last year. To help bridge this gap, Gousto’s kits will also include a “table talk” game designed to spark family conversations, as well as a Bluey coloring card for kids to play with after dinner.

Next week’s launch will be supported by a broad digital campaign on TikTok and YouTube featuring comedian and influencer Katherine Ryan, who is Gousto’s brand ambassador. Ryan has more than a million followers, and she’s planning to use her social platforms to post videos of kids reviewing the kits and sharing their funny verdicts of the recipes.
